How to prepare blue/pink liquid soap at home?

When I hear about blue/pink soap, I remember when I was a little girl and went to the public tank with my grandmothers, to watch that show which was washing clothes. In addition to a “hygienic” moment, it was also a moment of socialization, where the ladies put their affairs up to date! J How I enjoyed it!

In addition to the good memories that natural soap still brings to me, it is with it that, today, in 2020, I wash the surfaces of my house and, I am now introducing it to clothes washing.

The blue/pink soap has different designations such as Offenbach or Monkey Soap.

Blue/pink soap can be a great help when it comes to cleaning surfaces and fabrics. I assure you that there is nothing like this type of natural soap to degrease and whiten! J

There are several advantages inherent to its use:

. Soap is the product of the chemical reaction between sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide and vegetable or animal fats, being thus considered a natural product. By consuming this type of soap, we are contributing to the circular economy, as they are soaps that use fats from the plant/animal production industry in their manufacture, contributing to the reduction of waste material in this type of industry.

. It is an affordable soap compared to other detergents on the market, coated only with a thin layer of plastic, which also simplifies the disposal of packaging for recycling, unlike other detergents. Soap, as a rule, weighs 400 g, but can be cut and used as needed. And believe me, a bar of blue/pink soap, lasts for a long time. It can be found easily in supermarkets and groceries.

. It allows efficient washing, unlike many chemical and industrial detergents.

I will share with you the recipe I use to transform the natural solid soap into liquid soap, so you can use it in the washing machine and can use it easily, in a liquid dispenser packaging:

1.Cut 200 g of soap and dissolve as much as possible in 500 g of water and 100 g of sodium bicarbonate.

2.Boil 3 L of water.

3.Carefully add the solution from point 1 to the boiled water.

4.To help mix the soap and water, stir or use a hand blender to undo the larger pieces of soap.

5.Allow to cool for 30 minutes and distribute the final solution over a 5 L jerrican and a liquid dispenser.

If the soap solidifies a little, shake the packaging consistently before using.

I hope it works for you as well as it works for me! J
